Wimbledon, November 2011
Interestingly, this school features a mosquito in its' logo. Ronald Ross was the first person to link mosquitoes with malaria & was awarded a Nobel prize in 1902. We never knew that. We started by visiting the school to get some great photography. We then designed a colourful website with illustrations reflecting the schools location in Wimbledon - rural yet still London.
"Everyone has loved the website - it is such an improvement on what we have at the moment!"
Greenwich, June 2011
We loved designing this website for a local school and even hand sketched the london skyline for their footer. No detail has been spared and even the Fronter log in button has a little white horse on the laptop screen. We were also able to take all these design elements across into their prospectus and stationery.
"Just wanted to say a huge thanks for the hard work you have done on the website and the prospectus. We are getting lots of great feedback!"
Marie Corbett, Headteacher
North Yorkshire, September 2011
Although dating from 1812, most people didn't realise that Ripon Cathedral School was the original "Cathedral School". We were happy to help the school project their rightful traditional image. There's a fuller case study but the Head says it better than we can:
“Thanks Andy you made the whole process very easy being both professional and patient. We are over the moon with the website and prospectus, which met the brief perfectly. Special thanks for the app which is a real winner with our parents. Highly polished products at value for money prices.”
Darren Dudman, Headteacher
Derbyshire, July 2011
Coppice Primary school overlooks Shipley park and is very much integrated into schools activities such as pond dipping. There's a definite woody feel to the design of their website with a fantastically leafy header gallery. Butterflies adorn wooden noticeboards and even their Twitter feed is leafy.
"The website is working really well. I love adding content!"
Bolton, May 2011
The brief for Prestolee was to create an interesting looking site, in double quick time to meet a challenging deadline. We were happy to oblige, and were able to come up with a design that reflected the school colours and featured the sunburst effect they wanted. The site has received great feedback since launch.
Essex, April 2011
St. Andrews Primary School is a Church of England Voluntary Aided School, situated in a spacious rural setting in the village of North Weald, Essex. The site was launched by their local MP, Eric Pickles, since when the school have bee busy adding news items, diary dates and sports news.
"Really impressive, thank you!"
Gill Young, Headteacher
Buckinghamshire, March 2011
As well as an interesting design which reflects their country location, the Ash Hill website also features a Twitter feed integrated into the home page, an animated image gallery, and, unusually, a vertical navigation bar.
"Everyone agrees that the site looks great."
Jennifer Gamble, Headteacher
London, January 2011
The Executive Head wished to present a much more professional image of Wyvil Primary School. We began by dispatching Jenna, our talented photographer, to take some fantastic shots of happy children doing interesting things. We re-drew the logo and armed with the new photography set about creating a simple, clean design.
Warwickshire, December 2010
Claverdon is "at the heart of the village with traditional values and high standards". And these high standards permeate everything they do, including their website where we worked hard to get it just right for them, including re-drawing their school logo.
The website has a number of interesting features such as an integrated Twitter feed, integrated newsletter via feedburner and integrated blog headlines.
Greenwich, November 2010
A local Greenwich school, Halstow contacted us after their previous developer emigrated.
We were able to quickly produce a fresh, fun website that the school loves. They love it so much, they put us in touch with their sister school, whose site we're now working on.
We love the menu system on this one!
Surrey, October 2010
We responded to an SOS call for a new website for St Matthew's in Redhill: within 2 weeks we'd redrawn their old paper logo, completed the design, hosting, CMS and content.
Our favourite aspect is the animated banner with star effect.
Wimbledon, September 2010
Hollymount is a one form entry school for boys and girls aged between 3 and
11 years old, taking up to 210 pupils with a 52 place Nursery.
Our favourite feature is the funky shaped search bar!
Radstock, July 2010
St John's is a Church of England Primary School situated close to the centre of the small town of Midsomer Norton, which is within the Unitary Authority of Bath & North East Somerset. Green Schools Online were recommended to the school by local secondary Chew Valley, for whom we have designed both a website and a prospectus.
"It looks fab... really like it!"
Charlotte Buckle
Shrewsbury, June 2010
St George's is a school of 341 pupils aged from 7 to 11 years. Green Schools Online were recommended to the school by the Oval School in Birmingham. They already had an interesting George and dragon logo, which we made a a feature of in the design.
"We love the new design"
Gillian Brittan, Headteacher
Coventry, February 2010
Courthouse Green were keen to have a new, fresh look for their website. They were also really interested in having podcasts and blogs from their pupils available through the website. We set up and configured a free podcast service for them an integrated RSS feeds so that parents could subscribe to them. They already had an existing blog so we created an attractive icon to it, along with a icon to their Moodle Learning Area
"I really am impressed with what you have done. I love this, how soon can we launch!"
Sarah Malam, Headteacher
London, January 2010
Foxfield will soon be undergoing a BSF build and wished to move away from their old 'branding'. They asked us to create a new school logo for them, which moved away from the obvious, was more abstract & colourful. We provided various design routes and after the final logo was chosen, we extended the chosen design route into a clean looking website with plenty of white space.
Bristol, December 2009
St John's wanted a new website which was fresh and modern but also wanted to reflect the blue of their uniform. They also wanted quick links to the parish church, podcasts and a "Thoughtful Spot" area on the home page. The logo needed adjusting so we were happy to re-draw it for them.
"Thanks for your hard work and prompt replies. I'll definitely be recommending you guys to friends in other schools. We really like the design, it looks clean and fresh and is exactly what we're looking for."
Andy Spens
Kent, September 2009
"We are coming to the end of our first term with the new website and the feedback from parents has been fantastic. They particularly like the fresh look, the news and diary date sections and the galleries we have added. Our Y6 pupils recently went on a 4 day residential trip to Weymouth and throughout the weekend we uploaded photographs of the pupils to the website – parents, grandparents and friends loved this."
Jon Carthy, Assistant Head Teacher
West Sussex, July 2009
Having had their prospectuses produced recently, Michelle Clifford, Head Teacher of both St James and nearby Amberley First School, wanted new websites to reflect the updated styling.
We were only too happy to oblige, and came up with some fun designs using bright colours and shapes in keeping with the prospectus design.
"I can do newsletters and photos now and am very pleased with how easy they are."
Michelle Clifford, Headteacher
Northside Primary School London Borough of Barnet, June 2009
"We really like it and are very happy with the design...I recommend Green Schools Online, and would be happy to talk to any school about the product and process."
Amy Byrne, ICT Co-ordinator
St.John's Community Primary School Lincolnshire, May 2009
Possessing some lovely photography, and an elaborate logo, we combined the two to create a high-impact slideshow feature which succinctly illustrates the happy, motivated children in a school which places high importance on the arts.
"Mrs Tuck, the Head Teacher loved the slideshow effect; overall she was very impressed and I think it looks great too"
Karen Ferguson, School Administrator
Heathwood Lower School Bedfordshire, September 2008
Heathwood weren't sure what kind of design to go for, but when we saw their lovely photographs, we knew that we had to go minimal and let the images speak for themselves. Every time the page is visited, a different photo is selected for the top banner, whilst the home page also features an animated Flickr gallery.
"What a lovely surprise to get this early! We are really pleased with this! What a great difference from our existing site!."
Anne Lane, School Administrator
